You fly in only one direction, but you can fire from behind as well as ahead. Levels are divided into a few stages to complete, each with their own boss before moving onto the next level. After a level is complete, you can change your craft, watch a replay, continue the game in your current craft, or save your progress.
During the game there is a certain number of lives and continues at your disposal. Once the health bar is depleted, a life is lost with a play continuing normally. If all lives are used, you can hit a continue, which will restart at either the beginning or midpoint of a stage depending on how far you were.
When all continues are expended, the game is over. To increase your firepower, collect powerups such as experience points, health, bombs or additional lives.

The game begins with a classic movie reel count down, and the non-gameplay screens are done in a classic movie reel flicker.
Keeping with the theme, is a soundtrack that mirrors the classic war movies of the s. Steel Empire. The Steel Empire rules the skies with an iron steel fist, and only the Resistance can bring them down in this horizontal shoot 'em up for the Sega Genesis.
Of course it is possible to spread forces too thinly, risking severance of supply lines and loss of valuable facilities when the fur starts to fly. Fighting starts when one empire moves its forces into a to fumble around with the disc, slowing everything down noticeably. The full game combines the practice and strategic options; when the doors slide across players are given the opportunity to lead their troops country occupied by the forces of another country understandably enough.
At the end of each game round, blast doors slide across the screen, obscuring the map, the computer informs everyone that everyone else is plotting their destruction while muffled battle noises come from behind the doors. When the screens slide back, everyone finds out who won what, whether their invasion plans worked, and who has invaded whom.
A sampled female voice says "well done" if anyone has pulled off a particularly brilliant coup, she laughs unpleasantly if anyone has been severely beaten.
In really dire circumstances she announces that "the situation is critical", and when someone loses she says "you have been crushed" - charmed I'm sure.
No reviews yet! Be the first one to review it. But I loved to load it up, listen to the music, prepare my robots. I've always been promising to myself that one day I'll concentrate and understand the game. View all comments I have completed this game. Lemon Recommends. Possible Download Sites.
